How can I test a rule without placing an order?

- • The Pro simulator previews saved policies for one address and one selected product or variant. It reports allowed or blocked and shows the first blocking policy and message.
• A preview does not verify that the same rules are published in checkout, reproduce a multi-product cart, or test shipping rates and payment. Preview names may differ from current checkout names. Test inputs are not stored.
• Collection rules require selecting a real variant. Membership is read from Shopify on each test, without a local cache. Shopify search may briefly lag after membership changes; retry and verify in real checkout. A failed membership lookup is shown as an error, not an allowed result.
1. Open Simulator and enter a fictional address.
2. Select a product or variant that matches the policy scope.
3. Choose the customer locale to preview a translation, and the saved-address option if relevant.
4. Run the test, then change the address or item and compare the result.
5. Also test blocked and allowed addresses, exceptions, languages, mixed carts and delivery groups in an actual test checkout.
