How do I restrict countries, regions, cities, or postal codes?

Choose a destination rule and decide whether matching values are blocked or are the only values allowed.

  • State/province, city, and postal rules require you to select the destination countries where they are checked. They do not automatically restrict other countries.
  • Postal options are Starts with, Exact postal code, and Numeric range. Prefix matching ignores spaces and hyphens; exact matching does not remove them.
  • A numeric range includes both endpoints, which must contain the same number of digits and run from lowest to highest.
  1. Add a policy and select Countries or regions, a location restriction, or a postal restriction.
  2. Select the relevant destination countries and enter the values requested by the form.
  3. Choose Block matching values or Allow only these values, then save.
  4. For a numeric range such as 10001 to 10005, test 10001 and 10005 as matches and 10006 as outside the range.
  5. For alphanumeric postal areas, use Starts with or Exact postal code.
