Choose a restriction, set its scope, write a clear customer message, and save the policy.

- • A policy name is for staff only, up to 100 characters. The default customer message is plain text, up to 240 characters. Shared configuration limits apply in addition to individual field and policy-count limits.
• Enabled policies affect checkout after successful publication. If saving or verification fails, resolve the error and retry; do not assume that the previous remote version is still active.
1. Open Policies and select Add policy.
2. Choose a restriction, such as PO boxes. For a first test, use all destinations and all products.
3. Enter a staff name and a message such as “Please enter a street address.”
4. Save and confirm that checkout was updated successfully.
5. For an existing shop, review any legacy product selectors and exceptions before using Activate new checkout. The original validation is retained disabled as a recovery copy; no automatic selector conversion occurs.
6. Submit a test checkout with a PO box, then change it to a street address and verify that it is allowed.
