  • PO box matching checks address lines 1 and 2 for forms such as PO Box, P.O. Box, and Post Office Box.
  • The US military rule requires United States, a city of APO, FPO, or DPO, and a state code of AA, AE, or AP.
  • Custom address text matches a phrase within either address line. It ignores letter case and periods. It does not look up forwarding companies or detect every local PO box term automatically.
  1. Use PO boxes or US military when a built-in rule fits.
  2. For another term, choose Custom address text and enter one phrase per line, such as Postfach.
  3. Keep phrases specific to avoid matching an ordinary street address accidentally.
  4. Save and test both a matching address and a normal address.
